Product Preparation
For previously stained or painted: Scrape and sand all loose material prior to the application. To ensure adequate adhesion of sealer, scuff sand all remaining stain or paint. Reapplication of the old coating should be done to create an even uniform appearance. H&C Cleaner Degreaser should be mixed 50/50 with water to remove light soils from the surface. Use Cleaner Degreaser at full strength for heavy oil or grease stains.
For Bare Concrete: Freshly poured concrete must cure for a minimum of 28 days. All concrete should be clean and free of laitance, oil, grease or dust. Use H&C Etching Solution to open the pours of the concrete and get it ready to be sealed. The surface should feel like 120-grit sandpaper, if not, etch again, be sure to rinse thoroughly. Allow 24 hours to dry before staining or sealing.

Product Application
Determine if the conditions are right for application: surface and air temperatures should be between 50° and 95° F, and should not fall below 40° for 24 hours after application. This will effect the dry time, and may cause blushing and loss of adhesion. Do not apply H&C Concrete Sealer Wet Look Water-based if rain is expected within 12 hours of application.
This product can be applied with a brush/roller or an airless sprayer. When spraying, be sure to back roll the sealer to remove excess sealer; this will ensure an even finish. One coat of Concrete Sealer Wet Look is normally sufficient, however if 2 coats is desired, allow 2 hours of dry time between coats. Do not over apply, this can cause "blushing." The sealer will apply milky white and dry clear in approximately an hour. Horizontal and vertical should be applied in the same manner as above.
