Using various waterbased stains and Infusion Acid Stain, this Texas star was scored into the concrete inside a model home outside of San Antonio, TX. Colors vary in dilution from Crumbled Brick and Black Coffee, as well as H&C Concrete Stain Solid Color Water-based.

Semi Transparent Decorative Stain
A combination of Henna and Autumn Breeze Semi Transparent Decorative Stain was used on this pad, along with the Color Packs Copper Penny for the bottom first coat (the lines), and Brushed Steel for the top coat. Semi Transparent Stain diluted 1:1 with water, sealed with Wet Look Concrete Sealer.

Obsidian Semi Transparent Stain

Interior Floor, Kitchen with imperfections
This kitchen floor was stained with Infusion™ Black Coffee, sprayed on 2-3 coats with a conical spray tip.

Shield-Crete® Epoxy, beige close up
Here is a close-up of the Shield-Crete® Epoxy in beige. This is a medium flake coverage with the beige/ivory flake blend. If you prefer heavier flakes, extra Deco-Flakes are available. Extra flakes will add a bit of extra skid resistance, but if you opt for the Glaze, put the non-skid additive from the kit into the Glaze.
**Putting the non-skid additive into the epoxy then applying flakes and the Glaze will render the original additive in the epoxy virtually useless.

Resurfacer/Knockdown hopper gun
This contractor is practicing using a hopper gun to apply the Resurfacer Heavy Traffic texture. It is recommended to practice how the gun will splatter onto sample boards. It is equally important to be sure it doesn't clog and splatter unevenly.

Resurfacer/Knockdown Texture before and After
This shows the Resurfacer Instant Texture product before it's "knocked down" with a trowel.

Knocking the Resurfacer down
This contractor is "knocking down" the Resurfacer after it's been sprayed on with the hopper gun. When the Resurfacer is splattered onto a surface, it has peaks and valleys that need to be smoothed over, or "knocked down" with a rounded edged trowel.
*Note the spiked shoes he's wearing so not to damage the coating.

Rolling Stain onto Resurfacer
This is gives you an idea what the Resurfacer product looks like while it's being stained. The Resurfacer was applied with a hopper gun, knocked down with a trowel, allowed to dry, then H&C's Concrete Sealer Solid Color Water-based was simply rolled over it. The color used here was Sandstone.

Basement & Masonry Waterproofing
Simple surface prep and a roller cover and frame are all you need to turn your basement walls from drab to sealed bright walls! Apply right out of the bucket or tint it up to 2 ounces per gallon for a pastel color you might desire. This coating stands up to 10 psi of water pressure when applied correctly.

Garage floor prep.
Scrub the floor of the garage, especially where the tires are going to sit to ensure the surface is porous. Using a stiff broom brush, scrub in the cleaning/degreasing mixture, and hose down the garage floor thoroughly until no bubbles appear.

Color Pack Base Coat Application
This is the base coat of a Resurfacer application. The first step is to pour and trowel down the Color Pack/Resurfacer, here the Bamboo color pack is added to the Resurfacer.

Creating the pattern or "stamped" look.
Here we are taping off the cured first coat Resurfacer Bamboo. Be sure to leave extra long ends of the tape to be pulled off later when the topcoat cures, typically overnight.

Color Pack Birch Bark over Bamboo
Here the same project has the second coat of Resurfacer applied with the Color Pack Birch Bark. The tape previously applied has been taken off to expose the Bamboo base coat, or the lines.

Semi Transparent Decorative Stain application
Here 3 colors are randomly sprayed onto the surface: Meadow Green, Henna and Autumn Breeze blending together to form a unique color combination among all the peaks and valleys of the Resurfacer/Color Pack trowel finish.

Fish in Dahlia Red
H&C® Semi Transparent Stain Dahlia Red was used on the background of this fish. Dahlia Red was used at full strength. To achieve this look, a drimmel bit was used to score out the pattern in the texture.
