Texas Star

Using various waterbased stains and Infusion Acid Stain, this Texas star was scored into the concrete inside a model home outside of San Antonio, TX.  Colors vary in dilution from Crumbled Brick and Black Coffee, as well as H&C Concrete Stain Solid Color Water-based.

Semi Transparent Decorative Stain

 A combination of Henna and Autumn Breeze Semi Transparent Decorative Stain was used on this pad, along with the Color Packs Copper Penny for the bottom first coat (the lines), and Brushed Steel for the top coat.  Semi Transparent Stain diluted 1:1 with water, sealed with Wet Look Concrete Sealer.

Obsidian Semi Transparent Stain

This project used Obsidian Semi Transparent Stain diluted down with water to match a more Tumbled Stone look (please refer to color card/pdf of the site).  Then sealed with a solvent-based clear coat.  This project shows the flexibility our Semi Transparent Decorative Stain line has - you create your own colors and look.

Interior Floor, Kitchen with imperfections

This kitchen floor was stained with Infusion™ Black Coffee, sprayed on 2-3 coats with a conical spray tip. 

*Note the accentuated imperfections in the bottom middle of the picture; a good example of how glue, tape or any contaminant affects the final appearance.

Semi Transparent Stain Henna

This project used Semi Transparent Stain, Henna, diluted 2:1 with water.  All Semi Transparent staining projects must be sealed with a clear coat: water-based or solvent-based - it doesn't matter, as long as it's sealed.

Walkway using multiple colors of Infusion™ diluted to varying degrees.  Used also water-based stains to lighter colors.

Finished Pool

This pool was sprayed with the H&C Resurfacer Heavy Traffic product, then rolled with H&C® Concrete Stain Solid Color Water-Based stain in Sandstone color.

Acid Stained Wine Bar

Infusion™ acid stained wine bar using Black Coffee HC 402. 

*Note the cracks in the concrete which are accentuated with the acid staining. (Chairs should have scuff inhibitors on the feet).

Infusion™ Acid stained living room.

This room is stained with Black Coffee, HC 402, 2-3 coats of stain applied with a conical sprayer, then finished with one coat of solvent-based clear sealer and Industrial Floor Finish to make the color "pop" and become more vibrant.

Infusion™ Acid stained Driveway

This driveway was coated with a very light, diluted spray of Crumbled Brick, HC 403.  The accent line has a thicker coat of Rusted Fence, HC401, brushed on.

Shield-Crete® on metal stairs

Here is an example of Shield-Crete® Epoxy applied to metal stairs at a manufacturing facility.  This shows the broad spectrum of projects this product can be applied, garage floors are just the beginning!

Here is an example of Shield-Crete® Epoxy applied to a meeting room in a commercial building/warehouse.  The color used was Pewter, with one coat of Shield-Crete® Glaze for added gloss.

H&C Logo - Step 1

This creative contractor used Dahlia Red and Cardinal Red combined at full strength for the ribbon, and 3 coats of Gold Leaf Semi Transparent Decorative Stain "straight" (not diluted at all) for the shield in the H&C® logo.

Step 2 of this project included scoring out the details/engraving.  Obsidian Semi Transparent Stain was used on the H and C brushed on at a thick rate, not diluted at all.

This is a Parade of Homes model garage floor that displayed all 4 color options of Shield-Crete® Epoxy.

Shield-Crete® Epoxy, beige close up

Here is a close-up of the Shield-Crete® Epoxy in beige.  This is a medium flake coverage with the beige/ivory flake blend.  If you prefer heavier flakes, extra Deco-Flakes are available.   Extra flakes will add a bit of extra skid resistance, but if you opt for the Glaze, put the non-skid additive from the kit into the Glaze. 

**Putting the non-skid additive into the epoxy then applying flakes and the Glaze will render the original additive in the epoxy virtually useless.

Shield-Crete® Beige 3-car

This is a 3-car garage with Shield-Crete® Epoxy with beige, heavy flakes applied. 

**Note the stem wall is not coated (the vertical area masonry block wall between the floor and where the dry wall begins).  You can use Shield-Crete for that area, or H & C's  Basement & Masonry Waterproofing Sealer.

This driveway was stained with H&C® Concrete Stain Solid Color Solvent-based.  The color is our most popular, Bombay, 2 coats applied.

Pavered Pool Deck in Florida

H&C® Paver Sealer Natural was applied to this pool deck.  The joint sand between the pavers is now locked in while maintaining the natural matte finish of the pavers.

This bridge in New Jersey was stained with H&C® Concrete Stain Solid Color Water-based. Colors used are Concord Grapevine (HC 163), Sunset Terrain (HC 169), Red Terrazzo Tile (HC 102), and Olive Wood (HC 173).

Resurfacer/Knockdown hopper gun

This contractor is practicing using a hopper gun to apply the Resurfacer Heavy Traffic texture.  It is recommended to practice how the gun will splatter onto sample boards.  It is equally important to be sure it doesn't clog and splatter unevenly.

This shows the Resurfacer Instant Texture product before it's "knocked down" with a trowel.

This contractor is "knocking down" the Resurfacer after it's been sprayed on with the hopper gun.  When the Resurfacer is splattered onto a surface, it has peaks and valleys that need to be smoothed over, or "knocked down" with a rounded edged trowel. 

*Note the spiked shoes he's wearing so not to damage the coating.

Rolling Stain onto Resurfacer

This is gives you an idea what the Resurfacer product looks like while it's being stained.  The Resurfacer was applied with a hopper gun, knocked down with a trowel, allowed to dry, then H&C's Concrete Sealer Solid Color Water-based was simply rolled over it.  The color used here was Sandstone.

*Note the masked off areas to avoid overspray as well as the cardboard to keep from spray onto foliage.  Color of stain is not known, however after another coat, the reaction, neutralization and a clear topcoat this color will deepen and appear differently anyway.

Applying Paver Sealer Gloss to a patio

This is how the Paver Sealer Gloss will look as it's being applied.  The milky white color will dry to a glossy shine in about an hour, this makes for ease of application.

Etching Solution reacting to concrete

This is how Etching Solution will look when reacting with the concrete to open the pores, making for good adhesion of a stain or sealer. 

Basement & Masonry Waterproofing

Simple surface prep and a roller cover and frame are all you need to turn your basement walls from drab to sealed bright walls!  Apply right out of the bucket or tint it up to 2 ounces per gallon for a pastel color you might desire.  This coating stands up to 10 psi of water pressure when applied correctly.

Garage floor prep.

Scrub the floor of the garage, especially where the tires are going to sit to ensure the surface is porous.  Using a stiff broom brush, scrub in the cleaning/degreasing mixture, and hose down the garage floor thoroughly until no bubbles appear.

Color Pack Base Coat Application

This is the base coat of a Resurfacer application.  The first step is to pour and trowel down the Color Pack/Resurfacer, here the Bamboo color pack is added to the Resurfacer.

Creating the pattern or "stamped" look.

Here we are taping off the cured first coat Resurfacer Bamboo.  Be sure to leave extra long ends of the tape to be pulled off later when the topcoat cures, typically overnight. 

Color Pack Birch Bark over Bamboo

Here the same project has the second coat of Resurfacer applied with the Color Pack Birch Bark. The tape previously applied has been taken off to expose the Bamboo base coat, or the lines. 

Semi Transparent Decorative Stain application

Here 3 colors are randomly sprayed onto the surface:  Meadow Green, Henna and Autumn Breeze blending together to form a unique color combination among all the peaks and valleys of the Resurfacer/Color Pack trowel finish.

Fish in Dahlia Red

H&C® Semi Transparent Stain Dahlia Red was used on the background of this fish.  Dahlia Red was used at full strength.  To achieve this look, a drimmel bit was used to score out the pattern in the texture.
